The challenge
Orthodontic companies needed to design patient-specific brackets, wires, jigs and aligners and send them straight to manufacturing. Design engineers and the manufacturing team had to work on each case together, without passing files back and forth.
What we built
A 3D CAD and CAM platform on the ACIS CAD kernel. Appliances are modeled in 3D, and G-code for manufacturing is generated directly from the model, integrated with the client's manufacturing systems. A collaborative web portal connects the engineering and manufacturing teams around each case.
